Dear Bartlett High School Musicians and Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year! My name is Katy Green and I am the new choral director at Bartlett High School. I know many of you are returning choir members and to you, I thank you for your loyalty and commitment to Bartlett High’s Choral Department. To the new singers, welcome! I’m confident you will be happy and proud to be in this program!
I am beyond thrilled to be returning to the Anchorage School District. I recently received my Master of Music Education and Choral Conducting Degree in the Lower 48. Prior to that, I taught choir for five years in the Anchorage School District in both high school and in middle school. Being the choral director at Bartlett High is truly an honor for me and I’m ecstatic to begin this school year. My goal and mission is to provide the means of producing top choirs in the state of Alaska with singers producing a healthy, quality sound while promoting integrity, high work ethic, and a positive attitude.
Choosing to be a member of the Choral Department at Bartlett High School is choosing to positively represent your school, your choir, and yourself through music. I think you will be very happy being a part of our choir family! Let the hard work begin!
