About Bartlett Choir

Welcome to the Bartlett High School Choral Department!

We currently offer five different ensembles.

Treble 1-Designed to be a freshman/beginner treble ensemble. Students are introduced to fundamental singing technique, basic music theory, and work on establishing and improving vocal independence.

Treble 2-Designed to be an intermediate treble ensemble. Students collaborate frequently with students in Treble 1 Choir. Areas of focus are on establishing a consistent and focused tone with proper breath control and a higher level of music theory. Students are expected to maintain vocal independence with multiple vocal divisions.

Tenor/Bass-Designed to be a beginner/intermediate ensemble for tenor and bass voices. Proper singing technique, basic music theory, and vocal independence are primary topics. Tenor/Bass choir is expected to perform certain concerts and festivals with both the Treble Choirs and also the Concert Choir.

Concert Choir-Designed to be an advanced ensemble for mixed voices. Students are expected to display competent musical theory knowledge and vocal independence with multiple divisions. Vocal technique continues to be fostered and improved. Repertoire is more difficult and profound. Students in this ensemble are expected to perform regularly and participate in the All-State Festival and in Solo and Ensemble.

Bear-A-Tones- Designed to be an advanced chamber ensemble for either treble voices only or mixed voices. Students will be introduced to jazz and a cappella pieces. Additionally, students in this ensemble will be responsible for the repertoire in Concert Choir. Individual vocal independence is a requirement. Advanced musical theory will be presented and proper vocal technique will be expected of students in this ensemble. Students are expected to perform regularly and participate in the All-State Festival and in Solo and Ensemble.
